..since when..

the boys just got back from a weekend at diseyland/california adventure with cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents (they flew to oakland by themselves and met up with matt's sister) and now they are across the street at this house, housesitting. for the rest of the weekend. at night.

since when did they grow up so fast, and who said it was okay?

The weird thing in all of this is: Don't you still feel SO much like a kid yourself? It's always so strange to me that I am old enough to have kids old enough to do those kinds of things.

And, where my parents so young when I was a kid???

I can't believe that they are that old either, but it happens, sooner than we ever think it will, when they were little. Makes you a little sad inside!

I was telling Nellie the other day.
"Nellie your getting too big. I want you to stay little and stay my baby forever. Will you do that'?
"Well you're the one that keeps making me eat all that food"!
I just had to laugh. we just can't stop the hands of time as much as we want to...

It blows my mind everyday. Treyson babysits for me and Blakelee is potty trained. I thought I would be doing little kid stuff for the rest of my life. It makes me sad to think that everybody elses kids are growing up to. I still want your kids to be the same age as they were 3 years ago.

Yeah, you are a very good mom to let them fly alone-I bet that was kind of hard for you. I am already turning into an overprotective mother, and I dread the day when my kids will leave my side. (ok, I'm kind of looking forward to it too) Sounds like they had a great weekend-the CA picture at night looks awesome!
