the kids and i took a little road trip to utah to spend time with matt's family. we had a week of summer before school started again. going year round cut our summer very short this year :(
we had a fun time with grandma and grandpa and all the cousins. i went off without my camera so i have no pictures to share.
one of the highlights of the trip was the "stadium of fire." (thanks mitch for getting us tickets!)
miley cyrus and blue man group performed. malorie couldn't get over that it was REALLY miley on stage. she kept asking, "mom is that her real person on stage?" "is that her for real?" the kids loved it and we had fun spending time with uncle mitch (my brother). i think my kids have probably seen him maybe 4 times in their life. we go home (mexico) for the summer and he goes home for the winter, so we don't get to see him very often.
dallin also had a birthday while we were there. he turned 13! (i know, i can't believe it either!)
it's so crazy to think where the time has gone. he had a great time at 7-peaks with his cousins.
he got to stay in utah an extra week and will be coming out with matt's sister (who lives in SF) next tuesday. we miss him!
we had a wonderful time with family, but it's also nice to be back home. we missed our daddy!
i have to give a big shout out to matt...he knows i like coming home to a clean house, so when we walked in, the house was clean, carpets were vaccumed, and best of all, he had all the laundry and ironing done! (yes, is said ironing! :) thanks babe! i think i might leave more often!

Glad you guys had a good time. I hear Hannah Montana was going to be at the stadium and was wondering if Mitch was going to be there. Isn't he the best!!! We leave the beach on the 13th or 14th. Can't believe you have a teenager... miss you guys.

I wondered where you were - hadn't seen a new post in a while! Sounds like you had a fun trip...can't believe you got stadium of fire tickets! We need an Uncle Mitch!:)
And...Dallin is 13! What?! I remember visiting you when he was just a few days old...was it in Springville? We're getting old! No, we ARE old!:) Hope he has a fun extra week in UT! Happy school starting!:)
This was our first year not going to the stadium of fire because we could not get tickets. Lucky you to be able to get them! Happy Birthday to Dallin-Tom says he will miss being in Young mens because he will miss the boys like Dallin-he is such a good kid.
I'm so impressed that you traveled by yourself. I'm meeting Diamond in SLC next week (he'll be there on business) - flying by myself with the kids, and I'm a bit worried about how I'll even get checked in carrying a toddler, a car seat, luggage and a carry on. Good for you!

I found you through Jens blog! I have been wondering how you guys were doing and what you have been up to! We just welcomed a sweet baby girl into our family about a week and a half ago! So now we will be getting used to life with two! I hope you guys are doing well and enjoying your summer! Take care!
