I didn't think I would get homesick, but I am. Here are a few things we are missing...
the quiet, peaceful little valley, rainy afternoons, sitting in the back yard visiting, watching cousins play, 4-wheeler rides, golf cart rides, walking to the barn to see the animals,

going to the ranch, helping papa brand, getting dirty, playing in the river, swimming,

having a bon-fire with cousins, eating paletas, going to casas, riding in back of papa's truck,
wide open spaces, staying outside until dark, aunt Deannas homemade ice cream,
Sunday dinners, no schedules, riding horses, fishing in the pond, my affordable hair dresser, a maid,

having a bon-fire with cousins, eating paletas, going to casas, riding in back of papa's truck,
Nandy & Papa, gigi, aunts & uncles, cousins, and the best part of all...bubble baths in nandy's tub!
Mexico...tierra bendita, you will be missed. You will always be home.

Sounds like heaven. I see why you miss it. I get homesick sometimes too. I think Mexico looks a whole lot more inviting than Utah.
When my parents sold our NY home I literally cried. There is something about "home"...
Plus, it seems I always crave the ocean come mid-summer. Too many vacations spent on the shore have engrained in me the need to sit by the ocean. Only now, we're too far away to go as often. Sigh.
I feel your pain!
There is really no place like home, and where you grow up always seems to be "home" no matter how old you get! OK...so I have a great idea. We should start planning a trip for next summer right now and Hoyt and I will go too!!
Oh I think I just got home sick.... I say you need to move down to AZ so we can pack up the kids and drive down to MX on the weekends. Wouldn't that be fun! Come on I know you want to. It's only 108 today! Love ya
Wow! It's so beautiful there. I'd be missing it too. We are glad you are here though :)
Allison..This Elisa(Baum)Hall, it is fun to see your blog. You have a cute little family, and I love reading your posts. I especially loved your post about missing Mexico, and I echo your thoughts. It brings back lots of memmories, and I realize how much I loved growing up in the colonies. It is a GREAT place! I am glad I found your blog. My blog is www.hallstory.blogspot.com
We miss you too! Hopefully we will see you at Christmas.
Allison,
It's nice to hear from you. I've been viewing your blog occasionally (I think I linked from the Crouch's) and never thought to leave a comment and say HI. I'm an idiot what can I say. I was excited to see that Diedre put one up thanks to you. I'll have to make a post of some of the twins birthday parties. We have some cute pictures of Mason and Treyson. Thanks for having more sense than I. Jeri
What a beautiful place and fun memories, i would miss is also!

Awwwe! That was sweet. It looks and sounds like a place anybody would miss. It's true there's no place like home. I miss mine sometimes too. Rachel
